Pearl Marine Maps is developed by Ender Isikli. This policy explains how the app and this website handle information. Questions can be sent to isikli.ender@gmail.com.
No account or advertising
The initial release does not require an account and contains no advertising. It does not include an advertising or third-party behavioural analytics SDK.
Information stored on your device
Routes, port rotations, settings, recorded port times and recent position samples are stored locally to support planning and monitoring. The app does not provide an account-based cloud sync service. Device backups may include local app data, depending on your Apple backup settings.
Location and local network data
If you grant location permission, the app uses device location and speed to show your position, monitor a selected leg and estimate progress. If you select NMEA over UDP, it receives position and navigation messages from the source you choose on your local network. Route calculations and voyage tracking are performed on your device. You can change the source in the app and revoke permissions in device settings.
Online maps and weather
The app requests map resources from providers including CARTO, EOX and OpenSeaMap, and downloads weather packages from storage hosted by Supabase. These services receive the network information needed to respond, such as your IP address and requested resource. Map tile requests can indicate the area you are viewing. Provider-side logging and retention are governed by those providers; this policy does not claim that online requests are anonymous.
Support messages
If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are processed to respond to your request. Support is handled through Gmail. Avoid sending sensitive voyage or location information unless it is needed to explain the problem. You can request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us; records may be retained where needed for legal obligations.
This website
This site uses no advertising cookies, analytics scripts or contact forms. Following the email link opens your email application. The hosting provider processes technical connection information to deliver and protect the site.
Your choices
You can plan routes without granting location access. You can revoke location and local network permissions in system settings. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device; device backups and emails you previously sent are managed separately.
Changes
We will update this policy if app features or data practices change, including before introducing advertising. This policy applies to Pearl Marine Maps; future Pearlmate apps may have their own policies.
